Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Initiatives & Relations
In September 2021, this relatively new committee signed a memorandum of understanding as a commitment to facilitate open communication between law enforcement and the community. This includes discussion on body worn cameras and access to footage, the sheriff complaint process and issues with the jail system. Committee members meet monthly with each other and quarterly with the top people in the Sheriff’s office.
