UCLM Press Conference Declaring Support for Purchasing Software that can Serve as an Early Warning System for Unlawful Use of Force by RPD
On Monday, December 19, 2022, UCLM held a press conference declaring its support for purchasing software that helps RPD better manage data. Rochester City Council is slated to vote on the purchase on December 20th. Currently RPD uses manual processes to gather data on officer training, body-worn camera incidents and more. With Benchmark Analytics First Sign software, RPD can recognize patterns in use of force and even demographics on suspects.
Currently 150 communities across the U.S. use this software and have seen great results.
