THE SUMMIT’S GOALS

The essential goal is to bring all stakeholders together to actively participate and voice their point of view on violence prevention and how to “Build Strong and Healthy Relationships” between law enforcement and community members — schools, youth and others affected by criminal activity. Together we will lay the groundwork for a culture where law enforcement and the community:

  • Trust each other

  • See the legitimacy & humanity of each other

  • Work together to reduce violence & create more peaceful neighborhoods

This is not a one-time event and then it is over. Rather this endeavor will continue so that there is always a group consistently working to reduce the crime rate in Rochester.
